Hat Care

A well-crafted hat is made to last — but only with the right care.

Handle your hat with intention, always using the brim rather than the crown to preserve its structure. How you store it matters just as much; keeping it away from heat, humidity and confined spaces will help maintain both shape and color over time.

Regular, gentle cleaning will keep your hat looking its best. Use a soft brush to remove dust and treat finer details like the crown, brim and lining with care. Allow materials to air dry naturally and avoid exposing them to direct heat.

Details such as the sweatband, lining and hatband require a bit of extra attention. Let them breathe when needed, clean them carefully, and remember that some elements are interchangeable rather than permanent.

With consistent care, your hat won’t just last — it will age with character.

1. Crease

Avoid leaving your hat in tight or enclosed spaces where heat and humidity build up.

2. Pinch

Never handle your hat by the pinch or crown. Always use the brim.

3. Hatband

The hatband is delicate and not permanent — handle with care.

4. Crown

Brush gently and clean with a slightly damp cloth when needed.

5. Brim

Never rest your hat on its brim — place it upside down instead.

6. Storing your hat

Store upside down or in a hat box, away from heat and humidity.

7. Sweatband

Let it air occasionally to prevent buildup from use.

8. Underside of Brim

Brush gently in the opposite direction to keep it clean.

9. Lining

Clean carefully with mild soap and always air dry.
